Flow Solver

Fluid Research develops and provides software for a variety of fluid-flow processes, software for scientific data plotting/visualisation and software solutions for various types of automations.

The Computational Fluid Dynamics end-product of Fluid Research is the GFS flow solver. This is a parallel, unstructured, turbulent, multi-concentration and multi-phase flow solver supporting transient flow cases with moving boundaries. Advanced flow visualisation tools have been developed and can be used as stand-alone applications.

Additionally, software solutions for automations and logistics have been developed and can be easily adapted to operate/control various applications.

 

Steady-state as well as transient flow problems can be simulated for complex geometries, accounting for a variery of physical processes. Multi-phase flow models are available for separated flows which can be treated on a Eulerian (VOF-based) frame and for dispersed flow conditions, which are treated on a Lagrangian frame. Specific modules exist for sprays and cavitation.

PostGFS is a powerful flow visualisation module that can be used together with GFS or as a stand-alone application for plotting CFD results.
