Mini-pressure transducers, transparent quartz windows and needle lift sensors can be instrumented to various automotive injectors. That can allow for full characterisation of the injector operating characteristics simultaneously with visualisation of the internal flow under realistic operating conditions of automotive fuel injection systems where pressures can exceed 1500bar.
