Environmental FlowsEnvironment flow modelling is important for predicting pollution levels in urban spaces and terrains of special interest. Examples include flows around buildings, air pollution due to presence of power stations or industries, thermal pollution in coastal line and simulation of wind potential over landscapes for selection of optimum location for power-generation wind turbines. Such cases require special treatment regarding the air density change with altitude, water density with depth and salt concentration, buoyancy forces, turbulence anisotropy and possible chemical reactions. Due to the complexity of the physics involved, specific cases can be simulated upon request.
Examples of calculated cases are given below. |
